A Children’s Book to Empower

Dreaming of the Seasons: Julianne’s Journey to Empowerment

The idea for this story came to me four years ago. After much gestation, it was finally ready to be birthed in Spring 2020 (this is no coincidence - we reflect the seasons!). A spark of inspiration came to me one night and I began to write the next day.

What is this book? It’s a dreamy, whimsical, and adventurous children’s tale that holds the intent of planting seeds of empowerment and acceptance for those who will one day menstruate. By sharing this wisdom, I hope to contribute to reducing the stigma, shame, embarrassment, and “inconvenience” of periods by capturing the power of the cycles in a child-friendly, relatable, and magical way.
